Life at Anviam
An engineering culture built on four things: creativity, challenge, innovation and actually enjoying the work. Here is what that looks like day to day, and what to expect if you join us.
What is it like to work at Anviam?
Anviam is a CMMI Level 3 appraised software company of more than 100 engineers and designers, headquartered in Mohali with offices in the US and UK. Working here means small teams with direct ownership of client products, an open culture where trainees and directors share the same floor, certification and learning support, and exposure to both client engagements and our own commercial products such as Tankspotter, SWIPEBY and eMS. Hiring covers engineering, AI, cloud, QA and design at trainee through senior levels.

A Place Where Tech Talk Does Not Need an Excuse
At Anviam we thrive on four things: creativity, challenges, innovation and fun. Everyone here shares a genuine interest in how things are built, which makes the office feel less like a workplace and more like somewhere you can float an architecture idea over coffee and get three opinions before you finish the sentence.
Our inclusive culture shows up most clearly at the monthly office gatherings, where directors and trainees end up on the same dance floor. The open environment is deliberate: people do their best work when they are not managing upwards, so we keep the distance between a good idea and a decision as short as we can.
Small Teams, Real Ownership
Engineers here own features and often whole products rather than being handed tickets. That is only fair if the support around it is real, so these are the things we hold to.
- Teams of four to eight, so nobody is anonymous and nobody is a resource
- Direct access to leadership, including on decisions you disagree with
- Certification support, including AWS and cloud credentials
- Deliberate rotation onto unfamiliar parts of the stack rather than years on one module
- Internal technical sessions where engineers present their own work
- Our own products to build on, not only client engagements

Beyond the Job Description
The things people actually ask about in interviews, answered here so you do not have to.
Learning & Certification
Support for AWS and cloud certifications, plus time to prepare rather than an expectation that you study on weekends.
Stack Rotation
Deliberate movement between web, mobile, AI and cloud work, so five years here is not five years on one module.
Product Work
Tankspotter, SWIPEBY, FLEX, eMS and HRMS are ours, which means long-term ownership rather than handover at launch.
International Exposure
Clients across 20+ countries, so you work with real stakeholders rather than through a layer of account management.
Flat Access
Directors on the same floor and reachable directly. Escalation does not require a chain.
Monthly Gatherings
Office parties, celebrations and the occasional tournament, attended by everyone from trainees upward.

Trips, Not Just Team-Building Slides
The same people you pair-program with also end up on a hillside together, because we plan actual off-sites rather than a slide deck about "synergy." It changes how a team talks to each other on Monday.
Between the outings and the monthly gatherings, joining Anviam means joining people you will actually know, not just a Slack handle two desks over.
Life at Anviam, in Pictures
A few frames from the year: a bonfire, a rangoli, a dress-up day and a retreat none of us have quite finished talking about.

We Do Not Chase Awards, but We Do Enjoy Them
Recognition is not the point of the work, and it is still satisfying when it arrives. The trophies on the shelves are reminders of specific projects and the people who pushed them over the line, and they raise the bar we measure the next one against.
Alongside those, the credentials that matter commercially: CMMI Level 3 appraisal, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2013 certification, and AWS Advanced Tier Services Partner standing. Those are the ones clients ask about, and they exist because of process discipline that the whole team maintains.

Questions Candidates Ask Us
What is the work culture like at Anviam?
Open, informal and technical. Teams sit together rather than in separated hierarchies, directors are reachable directly, and monthly office gatherings mix everyone from trainees to leadership. The four things we consistently optimise for are creativity, challenge, innovation and enjoying the work, and the practical test of that is whether an engineer can question a decision made two levels above them without it being awkward. They can.
Do you offer hybrid or remote working?
We run hybrid working from our Mohali office, with remote arrangements available depending on role and team. Engineering roles generally have the most flexibility; roles that involve hardware, secure client environments or heavy in-person collaboration have less. We are straightforward about which category a role falls into during the interview rather than after an offer.
What learning and development support do you provide?
Certification support including AWS and cloud certifications, an internal technical sharing cadence where engineers present work to each other, and deliberate rotation onto unfamiliar parts of the stack. Because we build our own products alongside client work, there is usually somewhere to try a technology properly before it goes near a client engagement.
What does the interview process look like?
Typically a short screening conversation, a technical round appropriate to the role, a practical exercise or discussion of past work, and a conversation with the team you would join. We aim to complete it within two weeks and to give a clear answer either way. Practical exercises are scoped to a couple of hours, and we do not ask candidates to complete unpaid work that resembles a real deliverable.
Which teams and roles do you hire for?
Engineering across web, mobile, AI and machine learning, cloud and DevOps, plus QA and test automation, UI and UX design, and business and delivery roles. We hire at trainee, mid and senior levels, and we run a structured trainee intake because a meaningful share of our senior engineers started with us as graduates.
Where are your offices?
Our main delivery centre is in Mohali, Punjab, at Quark Atrium in Industrial Area Phase VIII-B, with additional presence in the United States at Bucktown, Pennsylvania and in the United Kingdom at Chester. Most engineering hiring is for the Mohali office.
